HOME INVASION ROBBERY ARREST

The Okaloosa County Sheriff 's Office has arrested one of two suspects in connection with an armed home invasion robbery in the Fort Walton Beach area December 13th. 26-year old William George Smolar is charged with home invasion robbery, aggravated assault, and grand theft of over $100 inside a residence.

Investigators say Smolar and another man went into a home at 792-D Navy Street and demanded money. The resident inside says Smolar pushed her to the ground and held a gun to her head while her two young children were sitting on the couch. The second suspect then took money from her purse. Okaloosa investigators are searching for that second suspect. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 850-609-2000.
