N E W S   R E L E A S E  

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Multi-Agency Drug Task Force and the Niceville Police department discovered and dismantled a Methamphetamine lab at a residence in Niceville.

Arrested at 1449 Magnolia Street , on Saturday, May 21, were Deanna Caldwell Pennington, age 47 (6-16-57) and Steven Russell Ellis, age 36      (1-16-69).  Pennington and Ellis are charged with the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.  Pennington is also being charged with Possession of Precursor Chemicals, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Marijuana.

Deputies were responding to a citizen complaint and were informed about a “Meth Lab”.  Contact was made with Pennington and as deputies entered the residence, there was a strong chemical odor and numerous items found for the manufacture of Methamphetamine. 

Deputies contacted the Multi-Agency Drug Task Force to respond where they retrieved equipment used for the manufacture of Methamphetamine from the residence.
