Four individuals
have been arrested and three methamphetamine labs have been dismantled after an
investigation by the Crestview Police Department, Niceville Police Department,
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug
Task Force.
Arrested on February
2 (Wednesday) was Danny Carl Hicks,
age 37 (3-19-68) of 4290 E Hwy 90, Crestview; Kenneth Ray Craig, age 35 (10-29-69) of 538 Hathaway Street,
Crestview, Jeffrey Scott Cunningham,
age 39 (11-28-65) of 5301 Hare Lane Lot 27, Crestview; and Laurel A. Rainer, age 22 (12-21-82) of 3122 Zadie Lane, Crestview.
A search warrant at
Cunningham’s residence lead to the arrest of Craig and Cunningham on charges
of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Listed
Chemicals; Craig was also charged with Possession and Intent to Distribute
Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine. A second search warrant at Craig’s residence lead to the
arrest of Hicks who was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
The fourth arrest was conducted at the Comfort Inn, room 152 in
Niceville, where Rainer was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and
Possession of Chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.
Evidence unveiled the suspects were operating for some time in Okaloosa County. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible.
