Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris has honored Deputy James Hoisington and Information Technology Specialist Adam Bader as his Sworn and Non-Sworn Employees of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2004.

Deputy Hoisington, who has been with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office for four years, was cited by his supervisor as "one of the best Deputies... he is professional, courteous... and is looked upon with the highest regard." On two occasions in September, Deputy Hoisington apprehended burglars in the act: one involved vehicle break-ins on Crosslake cove; the other was a construction site burglary intercepted in-progress on Green Acres Road. Deputy Hoisington, who works a patrol shift in the Fort Walton Beach area, is a Field Training Officer and a Crime Scene Investigator.

Adam Bader has been with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office for one year. His supervisor notes "Adam is always responsive to the computer and network needs of each individual... not only does Adam perform his daily assigned task, with minimum supervision, but also Adam has gone over and above in diligently working to assist finance and accounting... his knowledge and hard work has been an absolute mainstay. "

Sheriff Morris initiated a regular program of Quarterly and Annual employee recognition when he took office in January, 1997. Information about previous honorees may be found at www.sheriff-okaloosa.org.
