UPDATE

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a traffic crash that occurred Monday morning, June 21 in US Hwy 98 in front of People's First Community Bank in Destin. Mr. Alan. C. Clubb of Kentucky, age 53 (02-14-51) was transported by helicopter to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Pensacola. Mr. Clubb was the operator of the 2001 blue Harley Davidson and is currently listed in critical condition according to family members. Mr. Clubb was not wearing a helmet when the crash took place.

At this time, the investigation is pending and charges are possible.

 The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a traffic crash involving a 2000 black Ford Excursion and a 2001 blue Harley Davidson motorcycle. The traffic crash occurred approximately 8:00thi morning (Monday) on US Higway 98 in from of People's Fort Community Bank in Destin. 

Preliminary investigation reveals the Ford Excursion driven by Suzanne Marie Lemay of Winter Springs, Florida, age 56 (10-24-47) was trying to cross the westbound lanes of US Hwy 98, from the eastbound lanes when it was struck in the passenger side by the westbound motorcycle. The motorcycle operator, whose  name is being withheld until family members can be notified, was not wearing a helmet and was transported by helicopter to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Pensacola where he is listed in critical condition. The driver and passengers of the Ford Excursion did not sustain bodily injury.

Westbound lanes of US Hwy 98 were reduced to one lane for several hours while investigators collected evidence on the roadway. Traffic was delayed for approximately four hours. At this time the investigation is pending and charges are possible.
