An anonymous child-abuse tip has resulted in the discovery of an illegal methamphetamine lab in a residence in Destin.

Deputy Robert Przybysz responded to 217 Sibert Avenue this afternoon (Friday afternoon) to assist the Florida Department of Children and Family Services, which had received an abuse hotline allegation of drug use in the presence of children.

Przybysz alerted the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force after discovering several containers of suspicious liquids and other signs of possible methamphetamine activity.

The resulting Drug Task Force investigation has confirmed the residence was being used as a meth lab.

Arrested on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Child Abuse were John David Adams (pictured left), age 33 (4-30-1970); and his wife, Tammy Lynn Adams (pictured right), age 31 (9-13-1972), both of 217 Sibert Avenue, Destin.

Three children, ages 7, 12, and 14, were removed from the house and placed in protective custody.
