Two individuals have been arrested in a continuing investigation into the illegal manufacture of Methamphetamine in Okaloosa County.

Michael Eugene McKinley (pictured left), age 32 (7-9-1971), and his girlfriend, Collette Elaine Wright (Pictured Right), age 17 (6-12-1986), were arrested yesterday (Monday) at McKinley's residence of 517 Samana Way, Niceville.

Agents of the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force developed Probable Cause and obtained a Search Warrant for McKinley's address yesterday, and discovered evidence of an illegal "meth lab," including more than 14 grams of methamphetamine, plus associated paraphernalia. It is believed the residence had been used as a meth lab for approximately three weeks.

Both suspects were arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia; McKinley was additionally charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

Some of the charges are related to an earlier search warrant, in which a meth lab on Swan Lane, Fort Walton Beach, was raided by the Drug Task Force on January 15. McKinley is believed to have been involved in production of methamphetamine at both locations.

The investigation is continuing, additional arrests are possible. Information received from citizens through Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers has been of value in the case.
