The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has discovered and dismantled a Methamphetamine lab at a residence in Fort Walton Beach. Trafficking amounts of the drug were seized, along with supplies and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Arrested at 4 Swan Lane, on January 15 (Thursday morning) were James Joseph Fountain (pictured left), age 30 (6-6-1973) and John Albert Atkins, Jr. (pictured right), age 27 (3-29-1976). Fountain and Atkins are charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine in excess of 14 grams. Atkins is also being charged with Possession of Paraphernalia.

The investigation began earlier this month when information was received that a "Meth Lab" was being operated in the Green Acres Road area. The Drug Task Force was able to identify the location of the suspected lab and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Supplies, equipment, and several containers of fluid containing suspected methamphetamine were seized and submitted for lab testing with execution of the search warrant.
