"What are my rights?" Answers to that frequently-asked question will be provided free of charge on Thursday, April 26 at the OWCC/UWF Fort Walton Beach Campus.
The "Victims Rights Conference" sponsored by Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris and First Judicial Circuit State Attorney Curtis Golden is in conjunction with National Victims Rights Week, April 22-28. Both Sheriff Morris and State Attorney Golden will speak at the conference, along with representatives from the Attorney General's Office, Parole and Probation, the local Judicial system, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and other organizations.
The event will be held at the auditorium at the OWCC/UWF campus from 9:00 until 4:00 on Thursday, April 26. Admission is free of charge, but seating is limited and reservations are necessary; call 651-7260.
