Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris has posted a bonus $500 reward for information that leads to the identity of the vandals responsible for more than $30,000 damage at the Bluewater Bay Golf Resort last week.
That reward will be in addition to any reward paid by Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $1,000.
Intruders climbed a fence into a locked maintenance yard at the golf course during the evening of Wednesday, December 11 or early in the morning of Thursday, December 12 by. The vandals exited by driving a tractor through the same fence. Tractors, mowers, utility carts, and a lawn sweeper were driven across portions of the golf course. Fences were torn down in the process, and some of the equipment was driven into lakes.
Anybody with information about this case should contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 863-TIPS (850-863-8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers are never required to identify themselves nor testify in court. A code number system is used to pay cash rewards without compromising the caller's anonymity.
