The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has arrested a north Okaloosa County resident on three counts of Attempted Murder after a dispute turned into a shooting incident in Holt late last night (Thursday night).
Booked into the Okaloosa County Jail was Kenneth Lamar "Skinner" Nagel, age 49 (10-14-1953). He is accused of firing a shotgun several times at persons on his property. Three individuals were wounded when struck by birdshot pellets; none of the injuries are said to be life-threatening.
The victims had accompanied a woman to Nagel's residence on Pasco Broxson Circle in Holt to stand by as she removed her clothing from the house, where she had stayed in recent months. The woman, Athena Lisonbee, age 20, told Deputies when she entered the house, Nagel ran out the back door firing at her companions, Jacob Grice, Preston McLean, and Shannon Lisonbee. Ms. Lisonbee and the three victims reported hearing Nagel yelling that he would kill them. Nagel told Deputies he fired into the air to chase trespassers off his property.
