A suspect has been arrested in connection with a midnight home-invasion robbery
in the Ocean City area earlier this week. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office identified
Stanley Delord Martin, age 22 (3-22-1980), as a suspect during its investigation into a
home invasion robbery on Navy Street this week.
Martin, originally from Pass Christian, Mississippi, was arrested at a Poppy Street residence where he had been staying, near the location of the home-invasion. Martin was arrested on charges of Home Invasion Robbery and Aggravated Battery.
Four occupants of a residence at 661-D Navy Street reported they were robbed at gunpoint of more than $600 cash by an intruder who fired two shots during the incident. The robber also struck one of the victims on the head with the butt of his handgun; the injured party was treated and released from Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. The robbery happened a few minutes before 1:00 AM Tuesday, July 30. The victims knew the robber by the nicknames of "Stain," and "Stanley Steamer," which Investigators learned were names used by Martin. The suspect was also identified from a photographic line-up by two of the victims.
Two handguns, including the one believed used in the home invasion, were seized as evidence from Martin's residence.
