The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Home Invasion Sexual Battery reported early this morning (Friday morning) in the Wright area. A woman was assaulted by a white male who forcibly entered her home, then departed on foot. The suspect was described as a approximately six feet tall, wearing blue jeans and a dark short sleeved shirt. The victim did not incur any serious physical injuries during the incident.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office received assistance from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Eglin Range Patrol, and the Florida Highway Patrol in establishing a security perimeter in the area west of Beal Parkway after the incident was reported at approximately 1:00 o'clock this morning (Friday morning).

The crime is under active investigation; any citizen who has any information that may be useful to the investigation... especially any sightings of a late night prowler or suspicious person in that area... should contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at 651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS (863-8477).
