The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for public assistance in finding the automobile of homicide victim Rhonda Kimmons Chaney of Fort Walton Beach. The vehicle is a white 1998 4-door Chevrolet Cavalier, bearing Florida tag D76 ZNU. Chaney had rented the vehicle from "USA Auto Sales and Rental" in Pensacola. The vehicle's current whereabouts are unknown.

Investigators are also interested in talking with anybody who may have knowledge of Ms. Chaney's activities in recent days and weeks. Anybody with information that may aid the investigation should call the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at (850) 651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS (863-8477).

Chaney's body was discovered Saturday afternoon by a woman riding her horse on trails near F I M Boulevard in the Wright area, north of Fort Walton Beach. It is believed she had been dead approximately two days at the time. A determination on the cause of the death has not been made. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
