The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for public assistance in its investigation of the disappearance of a Fort Walton Beach woman under suspicious circumstances. Elana Victoria Caroll was last seen at work last night (Wednesday night), bartending at the VFW Post 11367, on West US Highway 98 in the Florosa area, near the Okaloosa-Santa Rosa county line. She told her boyfriend she would be home about 10:30 PM.

Ms. Caroll is a white female, 38 years old (1-22-64), with brown eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans, and black high cuff boots. Her vehicle is also missing, it's a blue 1991 Plymouth Voyager van with woodgrain side panels, bearing Florida tag T09-NDW.

An undetermined amount of cash is missing from her place of employment, and there are signs of an apparent burglary to the building.
