The body of a radio DJ missing since late Tuesday night (June 11) has been found in the Ocean City area. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of Valerie Tara Brown (Pictured left), age 29, of Mary Esther, as an apparent homicide. Ms. Brown's mother-in-law, who is the care-taker for a vacant townhouse at 453 Waterway Lane, Fort Walton Beach, discovered the body inside when she arrived at that address to clean the house at about noon today (Thursday).

The whereabouts of Ms. Brown's brother-in-law, William Edward "Ed" Brown (pictured right), remain unknown. Her car is also missing, and the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is asking for public assistance in locating them.

Ed Brown is a black male, 34 years old, five-foot-seven, 150 pounds. His photograph may be seen on the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office web page at www.sheriff-okaloosa.org.

The vehicle is a silver 1997 Honda Civic with Florida tag F41-JUH.

Ms. Brown, a midday on-air personality at Mix-103 Radio in Destin, was last seen departing her residence in the Florosa area to take Ed Brown home to the Wright area at approximately 11:00 o'clock Tuesday night.
