A woman wanted on an Okaloosa County murder warrant is in custody in southeast Louisiana. Acting on information developed by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Warrants Unit, authorities in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, located Tracy Ann Biggart, this afternoon (Friday afternoon).
Tracy Biggart, is named in a Third Degree Murder Warrant in connection with death of her husband, David Joseph Biggart, Jr., on February 10. The newlyweds were honeymooning at a motel in Niceville when the bride discovered the groom unconscious on the floor the day after the wedding. Both parties had apparently passed out after taking drugs; an autopsy confirmed Methadone overdose as the cause of death.
Tracy Biggart, age 30 (11-23-71), of Niceville, is also known by her maiden name of Tracy Ann Stauffer. Investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office determined she had provided the pills that she and her husband ingested.
She was taken into custody in the Chalmette, Louisiana area southeast of New Orleans, and is being held pending extradition to Florida.
