The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect on Attempted Murder and other charges after a shooting incident this morning (Thursday morning) in Baker. Sought is James Mark George, (11-3-70), of Baker. A Warrant has been obtained naming George on charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. George is a heavy-set white male, 6'2", 300 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Anybody with information on his whereabouts should contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS (863-8477) or the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at 689-5705.

According to witnesses, George entered a residence at 1317 Georgia Avenue, Baker, at about 8:00 o'clock this morning (Thursday morning), and fired one shot at one of the occupants of the house. The shot missed its intended target, Landon Lamar Blair, age 26 (12-26-75) and nobody was injured. George fled the area; his vehicle and the gun believed used, a .223 caliber Ruger Mini-14, were found later on Lighthouse Church Road.

According to an investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, a feud between George and Blair had erupted the previous night. This morning, George sought

out Blair, and stated he was going to kill him. Witnesses say George went to his car, retrieved a rifle, and returned to the Blair residence, and fired one shot after stepping inside the house.
