Two suspects are charged with the robbery of a convenience store in Destin early this morning (Monday morning). Deputy Daryl Culberson spotted two men in a black 1984 Cadillac a few blocks from the scene of the robbery, Nugget Amoco #706 at US Highway 98 and Palmetto Street.

Charged with Armed Robbery While Wearing a Mask, and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony are Ronald Demars Johnson (left), age 20 (12-22-81), of 3801 Cherrywood Court, Niceville; and Christopher Royce Bowman (right), age 18 (5-21-83), of 1046 Troon Drive, Niceville.

Dark clothing, knit masks, and two shotguns believed used in the robbery were found in the suspects' car. Cash and lottery tickets were also recovered with the two arrests.

Nobody was injured in the robbery, which was reported at 1:09 this morning (Monday morning). The first Deputy arrived at the store three minutes later; and less than nine minutes after the first call, Deputies made a traffic stop on the suspects, westbound on Highway 98, nearing the Destin Bridge. Less than 70-dollars cash, plus several Florida Lottery tickets were taken in the robbery.
