Two teenagers have been arrested on 44 Felony counts and 6 Misdemeanor counts each, clearing approximately two dozen Burglary and Theft cases investigated by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
More than $5,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered with the arrest of Ricardo Jose Andrade (pictured left), age 17 (2-1-1986) of 1873 Whispering Oaks Lane, Fort Walton Beach; and Brian Keith Cummings, Jr. (pictured right), age 16 (3-27-1986), of 415 Joellen Lane, Fort Walton Beach.
Information from a patrol Deputy in the Wright area implicated one of the teens in a recent burglary, leading to an investigation that has linked the two suspects to many more cases. The two are charged with 20 Vehicle Burglaries; 14 counts of Grand Theft; 6 counts of Petit Theft; 3 counts of Burglary to Dwellings; 2 counts of Auto Theft; 2 counts of Cruelty to Animals; and one count each of Armed Burglary, Burglary to a Structure, and Burglary to an Occupied Dwelling.
The Burglaries were of unlocked cars and houses in the Wright area during the last several weeks, including the Willow Bend, Pine Meadows, and Crosswinds Landings neighborhoods. Audio equipment, home furniture, fishing tackle, two gas grills, and other property have been recovered.
The Animal Cruelty charges are from an incident in which a horse named "Toby" was discovered dead in its stall at the TLC recreation Center on Schneider Drive the week before Christmas last year.
