Three indi
viduals
have been arrested after the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Community Policing
Unit and the Okaloosa County
Multi-Agency Drug Task Force served a search warrant on Okaloosa Island on
Friday, October 24, 2003. The search warrant was obtained
as a result of the investigation in recent weeks aided by information from
citizens and confidential sources.
Cocaine in "crack' form, marijuana, and drug
paraphernalia were seized during the service o
f
the search warrant at 760 Seahorse Avenue.
Arrested at t
he
address were Christopher Bradley Chavis (pictured top left), age 37
(05-26-66), of 760 Seahorse Avenue, Okaloosa Island; Michael Wayne Brooks
(pictured right), age 43 (11-15-59), of 6 Ramona Lane, Mary Esther; and Michael
Labron Short (pictured bottom left), age 35 (12-12-67), of 9126 Deer Lane,
Navarre.
Michael Labron Short is also charged with possession of ecstasy.
