Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris has recognized Investigator Bob Grappone and Investigations Clerk Nancy Zick as his Employees of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2003.

Investigator Grappone (pictured left) has been an Okaloosa Deputy almost 12 years. During the second quarter of the year, Investigator Grappone helped solve a series of car burglaries, and two high-profile sexual battery cases. One of the sexual battery cases involved an abduction; the other involved a home invasion. Grappone's supervisor commented, "Bob's positive attitude... and his commitment to his chosen profession is reflected in his dependability... he is a hard worker with a no-nonsense, professional approach..."

Nancy Zick (pictured right) has been a clerk ion the Criminal Investigations Division for approximately one year. She was cited for her dependability, enthusiasm, and flexibility. She has been transferred to temporary duty in other administrative capacities on a fill-in basis, and has accepted each task without complaint. Her supervisor comments, "This award is a tribute to conscientious work habits and performance of her job in a professional and courteous manner."

Photographs and details of current and previous Employees of the Quarter awards may be viewed at the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office web page at www.sheriff-okaloosa.org.
