Career: Began working at the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office in October 1989 as a communications officer; later assigned to the patrol division in the City of Destin and unincorporated Fort Walton Beach, promoted to corporal and then Sergeant; supervised a patrol squad, Community Police Section, Street Crimes Unit and Multi-Agency Drug Task Force promoted to Lieutenant, Captain and then Major. Former Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiations Unit Commander. Former Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division. Currently assigned as the Bureau Chief of Administration.
Honors and Affiliations: OCSO Life savings awards. Selected by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a subject matter expert in regard to advanced narcotics investigations and law enforcement training curriculum development. Currently a board member of Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers, First Judicial Circuit Law Enforcement Association member and FBI National Academy Association Member. Former Board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. Current President of the OCSO Sheriff’s Star Charity. 2012-2013 505th Command and Control Wing Honorary Commander Hurlburt Air Force Base.
