The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Texas woman who was had no contact with her family since leaving Fort Walton Beach Medical Center March 1st following an accident in Santa Rosa County.

Investigators say 71-year old Cheryl Blackmon Ford of Port Arthur Texas was hit by a car in Santa Rosa County February 23rd while traveling in the area and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for care. Her family was not aware she was missing until May 12th after receiving a notification that Ford’s orange 2016 Toyota Tacoma had been found abandoned in a Winn Dixie parking lot in Gulf Breeze April 27th.

Family members say Ford loves to eat at Waffle House restaurants and was planning to travel around the state.

She’s described as about five feet five inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
