LYNCH ARREST REPORT

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man suspected of donning a mask and using a gun to rob a Fort Walton Beach business in April.

25-year old James Lee Lynch of Marnan Drive is charged with armed robbery and petty theft in connection with a hold-up at the QV gas station on Beal Parkway shortly before one a.m. April 29th.

Lynch stole cash, Marlboro Red Cigarettes, and a lighter before making his getaway.

Video surveillance showed him putting on a mask outside the store before walking in.

Investigators were able to develop Lynch as a suspect and execute a search warrant at his home May 8th. Inside they found a hooded jacket and baseball cap similar to the ones being worn by the robber in the convenience store video, as well as multiple empty packs of Marlboro Red cigarettes, and his cell phone containing photos of a multi-colored semi-automatic handgun like the one used at the store. There’s also an image of folded cash – with data showing it was taken April 29th around 1:36 a.m., less than an hour after the armed robbery was reported.
