OCSO DEPUTY
RECOVERING FROM CAR ACCIDENT
Okaloosa County
Sheriff Ed Spooner says the agency is grateful to employees and community
members who have been showing support for a deputy seriously injured in a car
accident Tuesday evening.
Sheriff Spooner
says 60-year old Randall Joiner, whose son is also a deputy with the OCSO, is
showing signs of improvement, but still being monitored closely while undergoing
treatment at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Deputy Joiner was
involved in a three car accident around 5 p.m. Tuesday at Auburn Road and Old
Hickory Road in the north end of the county. Another driver was cited for
violation of right-of-way.
Deputy Joiner was
pinned inside his vehicle and suffered multiple broken bones as well as internal
injuries.
