NICEVILLE MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Randy Scott Riesel
A Niceville man
had to be airlifted to a Pensacola hospital after he was badly beaten inside a
mobile home at 509 23rd Street, Lot 4, in Niceville around 11 o’clock
Tuesday night.
Law enforcement
officers say 41-year old Charles David May Junior of 304 Reeves Street in
Niceville was unconscious on the ground in front of the residence when they
arrived. Due to the extent of May’s
injuries, he was taken by medical helicopter to Pensacola’s Sacred Heart
Hospital.
Deputies say
inside the mobile home, they saw 29-year old Randy Scott Riesel and a woman
identified as Amanda Hagan cleaning blood off the floor and wall. The pair
ignored officers’ commands to open the door so they forced entry. Hagan told
investigators that she had allowed May to sleep at her home but then contacted
Riesel, her boyfriend, when May went in her child’s bedroom and refused to
leave. She says Riesel confronted
May and the pair got into a fight. Hagan says Riesel struck May to the point of
unconsciousness, then drug him from the residence and left him outside on the
ground.
Riesel is
charged with aggravated battery. At last word, May was in the intensive care
unit in stable condition.
