TASK FORCE ARRESTS TWO HIGH-LEVEL DRUG DEALERS   

      The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Drug Task Force has arrested two high level narcotics dealers and confiscated large amounts of cocaine and cash in Fort Walton Beach .

     33-year old Terrance Ramone Merritt (pictured left) and 22-year old Jasmine Rene Jones (pictured right), both of 217 Moriarity Street, are charged with trafficking in cocaine over 400 grams, trafficking in MDMA over 28 grams, and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. Merritt is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

     The Drug Task Force executed a search warrant early Tuesday morning at the Moriarity Street address. Investigators recovered drugs from inside a tennis shoe, behind a laundry basket and in various other locations throughout the house. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is $65,000. They also found $75,000 in cash hidden behind a water heater.

     The investigation is ongoing.
