AGGRAVATED
BATTERY
SUSPECT CAPTURED
A 27-year old
Fort Walton Beach
man suspected of beating, choking, and pistol-whipping his girlfriend was
arrested late Sunday
by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Active warrants served against
Vincente Singleterry include failure-to-appear on original charges of burglary
and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Investigators took him into custody shortly before midnight at Apartment B-5,
204 Fourth Street SE
in
Fort Walton Beach
.
Deputies had been searching for Singleterry since August 25th in
connection with a domestic violence attack on 24-year old Suzanne Cicchetti of
638 Virginia Oak Court
. The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team responded to Cicchetti’s
address early Friday morning after she showed up at a neighbor’s townhome
covered with blood. Two children were inside Cichetti’s residence when the
attack took place, but deputies recovered both unharmed. Singleterry had left
the scene before deputies arrived.
Warrants are currently pending against Singleterry for aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon, aggravated battery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon by a
convicted felon and child neglect.
He was taken to the
Okaloosa
County
jail in Crestview.
