Sharon Elaine Martin Arrested on DUI Manslaughter Charge

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit served an arrest warrant on Sharon Elaine Martin at the Okaloosa County Jail today for DUI Manslaughter.  The warrant was issued after the Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Laboratory stating that Martin’s blood alcohol level was measured at .223g/100mL, which is more than twice the amount at which a driver is presumed to be too impaired to safely operate a vehicle.

Martin will be held at the Okaloosa County Jail without bond pending a first appearance before a judge.  Martin was previously charged with aggravated fleeing, attempting to elude law enforcement resulting in death and is currently being held without bond on that charge.

Martin of 512 Manchester Road crashed into a car on Eglin Parkway on Friday, June 30th, 2006 and caused the death of Allison Angerman.
