MURDER
SUSPECT FOUND IN
CALIFORNIA
An Army National Guardsman wanted in connection with the murder of a
Fort Walton Beach
woman is now in custody in
San Diego
. Okaloosa County
Sheriff
’s Investigators searching
for 33-year old Chad Broumley were in the process of contacting the Veterans
Administration today when they learned Broumley had admitted himself to one of
the facilities in
San Diego
on Saturday, January 21st.
Okaloosa nvestigators immediately contacted their
San Diego
counterparts who arrested Broumley and took him to the San Diego County Jail.
They say Broumley has confessed to killing 53-year old Stephanie Ann Beam of
Fort Walton Beach
. Beam’s body was discovered Saturday in her town home at
702 Doyce Drive
.
Late
today, two Okaloosa investigators were enroute to
California
. They will serve Broumley with an arrest warrant for an open count of murder
when they arrive. They will also be seeking physical evidence from the
person of Broumley and his clothing – as well as his extradition back to
Okaloosa
County
to face the charge. Meantime Broumley also faces felony charges in
San Diego
for domestic violence battery and grand theft auto.
