TWO CHARGED WITH SHOOTING INTO AREA HOME

The Okaloosa County Sheriff ’s Office has arrested two Niceville residents in connection with gunshots fired into a Fort Walton Beach area home just after midnight.   17-year old James Bourgeois (pictured right) of 117 Martha Street is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault with a firearm. 20-year old  Schyler K. Pierce, also of 117 Martha Street , is charged with being a principal to the same two charges.

Investigators say Pierce is accused of driving a car by a home at 792-D Navy Street while Bourgeois fired up to five rounds at the residence. Deputies found casings from a 25 caliber pistol at the scene. One bullet penetrated a bedroom wall.

No one was injured and a motive for the shooting is unclear at this time.

Investigators have been searching for a third suspect in connection with a home invasion robbery at 792-D Navy Street residence on December 13th, but say it’s unclear at this time if the two incidents are in fact connected
