STOLEN BANK MONEY RECOVERED

     THE OKALOOSA COUNTY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION HAS RECOVERED NEARLY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN STOLEN BANK MONEY. IT WAS RETRIEVED NOVEMBER FOURTH FROM BEHIND A BUSINESS ON INDUSTRIAL STREET IN FORT WALTON BEACH.

      INVESTIGATORS SAY THE CASH IS CONNECTED TO THE ARMED ROBBERY OF THE FIRST CITY BANK IN FLOROSA ON NOVEMBER 18, 2004. 26-YEAR OLD JULIAN LEON JORDAN OF MARY ESTHER WAS RECENTLY CONVICTED OF THE CRIME AND IS SET TO BE SENTENCED NOVEMBER 21ST.

      OKALOOSA INVESTIGATOR DAN SPIKER SAYS TWO INMATES AT THE OKALOOSA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS RECENTLY REPORTED OVERHEARING JORDAN DISCUSSING THE LOCATION OF THE HIDDEN CASH. A SEARCH OF THE GENERAL AREA BY DEPUTIES ON OCTOBER 27TH WAS UNSUCCESSFUL.

     BUT NOVEMBER FOURTH, A MAN SHOWED UP IN THE SAME AREA, ASKING THE BUSINESS FOR PERMISSION TO SEARCH FOR MONEY BEHIND THE BUILDING. INVESTIGATORS WERE CONTACTED. THE INDIVIDUAL TOLD THEM HE WAS GIVEN SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS ON WHERE TO FIND THE MONEY FROM JORDAN . AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES OF DIGGING, THE MONEY WAS FOUND IN A PLASTIC BAG. IT WILL BE RETURNED TO THE PROPER AGENCY. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE INDIVIDUAL WAS NOT CHARGED, BECAUSE HE WAS COOPERATIVE IN SHARING INFORMATION ON EXACTLY WHERE THE STOLEN MONEY WAS LOCATED.
