N E W S   R E L E A S E  

Last summer the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the Okaloosa County Multi Agency Drug Task Force, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Drug Enforcement Administration HIDA Group (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) executed multiple arrests in a major drug trafficking investigation in Destin.  Search warrants were served on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at five residences in Destin: 708 Main Street , 102 Calhoun Avenue , 95 Tarpon Street , 169 Lola Circle and 453 Calhoun Avenue .  Eight related arrests were made in Destin later in June.  All the individuals involved were distributing cocaine which was being transported from another state.  The eight individuals were arrested last summer and charged in federal court in the Southern District of Mississippi.  They are as follows:

Wilbert Joseph Dorsey, Jr., age 45 (4-10-60), sentenced to 87 months, 5 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  Dorsey pled to Conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

Russell Matthew Roberts, age 33 (8-10-71), sentenced to 37 months, 3 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  Roberts pled to Conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute more than 3.5 kilograms but less then 5 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

Harding Joseph Juneau, age 49 (8-1-55), sentenced to 188 months, 5 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  Juneau pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

Robert Calvin McPherson, age 38 (3-8-67), sentenced to 41 months, 4 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  McPherson pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute over 500 grams but less than 1 kilogram of cocaine hydrochloride.

Elliot Neil Grant, age 30 (8-6-74), sentenced to 2 months, 3 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  Grant pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute 100 to 200 grams of cocaine hydrochloride. 

David Scott Sasenick, age 30 (4-19-75), sentenced to 15 months, 3 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 special assessment fine.  Sasenick pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute 100 to 200 grams of cocaine hydrochloride.

Michael Juneau, age 27 (8-27-77), sentenced to 13 months, 3 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 fine.  Juneau pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute 100 to 200 grams of cocaine hydrochloride.

Peter Adrian Bennett, age 33 (11-2-71), sentenced to 8 months, 3 years supervised release upon his release from prison and a $100.00 fine.  Bennett pled to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute 25 to 50 grams of cocaine hydrochloride.
