The next edition of the
Sheriff's Citizens Academy gets underway on Thursday, January 6, at the
Sheriff's Administration Building in Shalimar.
The class will
convene on Thursday evenings from 6:30 until 9:00, for 13 sessions, with
graduation scheduled for March 31.
Topics to be
covered include Child Abuse, Court Security, DUI enforcement, Police K-9's,
Fingerprinting and Crime Scene Evidence, and much more. The program is offered
as a public service by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, free of charge.
