Two
Mary Esther residents have been arrested after an undercover investigation of
several months by the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force. Jason
Allen Worley, age 21 (7-6-1983); and Elizabeth
Ann Woods, also age 21 (3-9-1983), were taken into custody as the Drug Task
Force executed a search warrant last night (Thursday night) at their 641
Shrewsbury Road residence.
Several rocks of crack cocaine, scales with cocaine residue, and a small
amount of marijuana were seized. Investigators believe Worley attempted to flush
some of the crack cocaine down the toilet as lawmen arrived.
Worley
was arrested on charges of Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
and Tampering with Evidence. Woods was arrested on Misdemeanor Possession of
Marijuana.
In
addition, both were arrested on charges of Child Neglect. Investigators say a
three year old child was exposed to drug activity at the house.
Worley
was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview under a bond of $50,000;
Wood's bond was set at $5,000.
The
Drug Task Force includes members from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office,
the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Crestview Police
Department.
