A fall from a restaurant roof that seriously injured a 20-year old woman early this morning (Friday morning) in Destin appears to have been accidental.

Amanda Lindsey Toombs, age 20 (12-27-1983), of 411 Twin Lakes Lane, Destin, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where she is listed in critical condition.

Ms. Toombs and a male acquaintance had entered a closed upstairs section of the building and climbed onto a section of roof at Fudpucker's Beachside Bar & Grill, 20001 Emerald Coast Parkway. She fell approximately 15 feet onto dirt, the fall partially broken by the edge of the roof on an adjacent building. Her companion re-entered the building and summoned aid.

Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the incident, which was reported at 2:15 this morning (Friday morning).
