An ongoing investigation by the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement has resulted in the arrest of a Baker resident in connection with marijuana cultivation.

Task Force investigators arrested Garry Tim Caperton, age 55 (12-15-48), of 7031 Eadie Cotton Road in Baker, on the charge of Cultivation of Marijuana. Investigators made contact with Caperton after numerous cannabis plants growing in buckets located in a wooded area adjacent to one of the homes on the property were observed by authorities during aerial surveillance. Caperton was arrested at his residence on July 14 (Wednesday) after investigators seized approximately 40 marijuana plants on the property valued at approximately $40,000. Investigators also discovered several items used for cultivation stored inside the residence.
