A drug defendant accused of selling Cocaine to the Drug Task Force while awaiting sentencing from a prior drug conviction has been returned to Okaloosa County.

Jorge Andres Baez II, age 22 (3-19-1981), was arrested on a charge of Trafficking in Cocaine, and also for Violation of Probation from his previous drug case, last Friday (May 21) upon his arrival at the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview. Baez had been residing with his mother in Cape Coral, in southwest Florida.

He is accused of selling 46 grams of Cocaine to a confidential source for $2,000 last September in Shalimar, 2003, while he was out of jail on bond.

One month earlier, Baez had been arrested on a charge of selling cocaine. In October, he was sentenced to three years probation in that case.

An investigation by the Okaloosa County Multi Agency Drug Task Force has been ongoing in connection with Baez. Additional arrests are anticipated.
