A Valparaiso man has been arrested after discovery of a methamphetamine lab.

Agents of the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force seized trafficking quantities of methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the manufacture of the drug at 358 Madison Avenue, Valparaiso, in the early morning hours today (Wednesday).

Charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and with Possession of Cocaine was James Robert Harvey, age 23 (6-6-1980).

The investigation leading to discovery of the meth lab and the arrest of Harvey started yesterday (Tuesday) when another member of the household reported suspicions of drug manufacturing activity in the house.

After obtaining a search warrant, Drug Task Force agents discovered suspected methamphetamine in the process of being manufactured, related paraphernalia, and suspected cocaine residue in Harvey's bedroom. Additional methamphetamine and paraphernalia was found in Harvey's vehicle.
