Three members of the same family have been arrested on drug charges after an investigation that began more than one year ago. Randall Scott Thames (pictured top left), age 52 (10-19-1951) and his girlfriend, Karon Sue Satterfield (pictured right), age 43 (4-14-1960) were arrested today (Friday) at their 205 Brian Lane residence in DeFuniak Springs. Walton County Sheriff Ralph Johnson took Thames and Satterfield into custody today (Friday), moments after warrants were signed in Okaloosa County.

Thames' daughter, Amy Schimke (pictured bottom left), age 24 (11-18-1979), was arrested on Tuesday (February 10), the same day her husband, Jessy J. Schimke, age 25 (12-28-1978), pled guilty to a cocaine charge in a military court. He had earlier testing positive on a urinalysis at Hurlburt Field. The Schimkes list 200 Lancelot Road, DeFuniak Springs, as their home address.

Thames, Satterfield, and Amy Schimke are accused on two counts each of Distribution of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a convenience store.

During the course of the investigation, the Multi-Agency Drug Task Force monitored the purchase of cocaine, methamphetamine, and Valium by a confidential informant. The transactions occurred near the Wal-Mart in Crestview, and near a convenience store at Highway 85 and College Boulevard in Niceville.
