Okaloosa County Sheriff Charie Morris has honored Corporal Ted Cason and Warrants Clerk Kristie Villari as his sworn and non-sworn Employees of the Quarter.

Cason has been with the Okaloosa Sheriff's Office since 1992, and has served as a patrol Deputy, a School Resource Officer, an Investigator, and a Community Policing Deputy. He was promoted to Corporal in November, 2001. His supervisor commented: "Ted has been instrumental in the arrest of suspects for burglary and grand theft... Corporal Cason's efforts also resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars of stolen property... Corporal Cason's dedication to duty, experience and knowledge, as well as his abilities to motivate the men and women he supervises were instrumental to the very successful night shift tour for Delta Shift."

Villari has been employed with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office since 1995, and has been working in the Warrants Office since July, 2002. Her supervisor commented: "Kristie continually strives to improve her knowledge and skills by accepting new challenges. She has a "can-do" attitude... Kristie makes extra efforts to track fugitives... she enters warrant information with speed and accuracy... she leaves no job half-done and is a valuable asset to this agency."

Sheriff Morris initiated a program of regular employee awards and recognition when he took office in January, 1997.
