The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the midday robbery of drugs from a drug store in Destin.
The robber presented a note at the pharmacy counter at Walgreen's, 34909 Emerald Coast Parkway stating he had a hidden gun and demanding oxycontin. No weapon was seen or displayed. The robber left on foot with approximately eight bottles of the drug.
The robber is described as a slender white man, apparently in his 20's, five-foot-eight to five-ten. He was wearing a dark shirt with a zipper closure on the front, dark pants, black gloves, and a black baseball cap. He had a slight goatee, as if from two or three days growth of beard.
The robber may have been accompanied by a second man, described as six feet tall, heavy-set, and also in his 20's. This second man was wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, dark shorts, and a dark beanie or skull-cap.
The robbery occurred a few minutes after 1;00 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday afternoon).
