A suspect is in custody in connection with the robbery of a convenience store last week. Investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office developed William Roland Catoe, age 19 (5-4-1984), of Crestview, as a suspect in the November 7 robbery of AOC Food Mart # 13, 306 Racetrack Road, NW, Fort Walton Beach.
Catoe was located and taken into custody as he returned to his home on Krest Drive in Crestview, late Monday evening (November 10).
He is charged with Robbery in connection with last Friday's mid-afternoon hold-up in which approximately $70 cash was taken. The robber told the clerk he had a gun, but did not display a weapon.
During questioning after his arrest, Catoe admitted to two recent convenience store robberies in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. That information has been relayed to investigators in Tuscaloosa; charges are pending.
