Two people were injured in an early morning shooting today at Oakdale Village Mobile Home Park off Gibson Road. Their wounds are not considered life-threatening.

Around 5:30 a.m. the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office received at least three calls of people reporting hearing multiple shots fired in the area.

Deputies responded quickly to search for any victims and/or suspects, setting up a perimeter. The Fort Walton Beach Police Department assisted in working to track down anyone on the run crossing into the city’s jurisdiction.

EMS transported two men to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. A 26-year old man suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and buttocks. Another individual was hit by bullets in the arm and chest. A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
