The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that resulted in the loss of an estimated $60,000 worth of tools from a shop beside a Baker home.

Ben Morgan of 2229 County Road says he was in the process of selling his land, along with his house and the shop beside it, but currently still goes to his shop to work.

He says he and his son left the home around 5 p.m. September 29th and arrived back the next day to find someone had broken into his “man cave” and the adjacent shop.

A 65 inch flat screen TV had been ripped off a wall and was missing, along with an air conditioner unit, compressors, air tool guns, multiple types of saws, an engine computer analyzer, welder, and multiple other tools.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-689-5705 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or text “TIP214 plus your messages” to Crimes (274637).
