James Dakota Ziglar
An active warrant for attempted murder has been issued for a Crestview area resident wanted in connection with a shooting Sunday evening at his home.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 20-year old James Dakota Ziglar of 1250 East Chestnut Avenue. Investigators say Ziglar shot 28-year old Joshua Armstrong of 2210 James Lee Boulevard once in the head around 6:30 p.m. Witnesses say Ziglar then calmly walked out of the house. The motive is unclear. An intense search has been underway, but Ziglar has not yet been located.

Following the shooting Armstrong was flown by medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where he remains in critical condition.
