Two people are in custody in connection with the May 17th burglary of a Mary Esther Subway that was caught on surveillance video.
52-year old Barry Banfield and 43-year old Laura Lee Price, both of 1120 Lowery Drive in Fort Walton Beach, were taken into custody Thursday evening and are now charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. Investigators say the pair smashed the glass door of the Subway at 421 Mary Esther Boulevard in the early morning hours and stole a safe containing nearly $3000.

Investigators developed Banfield and Price as suspects, and discovered Price is a former employee of the restaurant. When contact was made with Price, she admitted to her part in the crime.
