ARREST REPORTS

Patrols by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit resulted in the arrest of three Crestview residents in connection with an armed burglary to an occupied home.

A Deputy spotted three individuals in dark clothing walking through yards on North Pearl Street shortly before one a.m. on January 7th. During his contact with them, he found items of suspected stolen jewelry and electronics, along with a loaded magazine containing 9mm ammunition.

A further search turned up a 9mm handgun on the ground where the deputy first made contact with the trio.

Deputies determined 17-year old Jawan Moorer, 17-year old Khyree Morgan, and 18-year old Sacred Vigil had burglarized a home on Edgewood Place while a resident was asleep inside, and taken more than $5000 in property.

Moorer was carrying the handgun along with a folding knife. Morgan was armed with a large fixed blade knife with metallic knuckles.

All three are charged with armed burglary to a dwelling and grand theft over $5000.

Moorer is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
