DAMON O’NEAL PITTMAN ARREST REPORT
A Fort Walton Beach teen is now charged with dealing in stolen property, following a traffic crash Tuesday involving a stolen truck.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries on Garrett Mill Road near Milligan around 7:34 a.m.
It turned out that the crashed vehicle, a 1996 Ford F-150 pick-up truck, had been reported stolen on August 23rd from a home at 2941 Barton Road in Crestview.
The driver was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with serious injuries.
The passenger, 18-year old Damon O’Neal Pittman of Fort Walton Beach, said he had been contacted by an individual in reference to selling stolen cars and that this particular vehicle was “given” to him. Pittman said he knew or should have known the truck was stolen. He is charged with dealing in stolen property.
The investigation is continuing.
